We have found that having a contact form wins ever split test. The current winning drop-down menu has a link to a contact form at the top of every page of your website. That link leads to the Contact Us default post which invites your readers to use a contact form to contact you for any reason.

Their message is left as a comment to this post so you may want to take a look at the comments for this post daily and respond to any comments you receive by leaving your own comment.

Post

This post is protected access. Only the current owner of the blog can access it by default. You can change that though if you want to invite all customers of your platinum group to be able to guest blog post for instance.

This post contains the form for adding new posts. It has instructions for adding order pages and restricted access pages to your Internet Business Box 3.1 powered web-site.

Platinum Membership

This post contains the order page for your readers to join your platinum membership program for your blog. With platinum membership, your readers get access to any blog entry that you mark as Access:1003 when you post it.

You should mark your best information with that code to encourage people to join your platinum membership program.

There is a part of this order page that is dynamic and automatically lists the title of any blog entry that has been marked as Access:1003 as a bullet point or a benefit of joining the Platinum Membership program.

This is a really easy way to start your own membership site. You just write blog entries and mark them Access:1003 and the system automatically adds them as benefits to your sales page and redirects anyone trying to access those posts to this order page so they can sign up for your $10/month membership site.

Directory Listing

This is another order page for ordering a directory listing in the blog roll and category pages of your site.

This service is completely automated. You just have to spend the money that comes into your PayPal account every month. How cool is that?

This Site For Sale

This is another order page for the site itself being for sale. You can set a minimum price when you install the Internet Business Box 3.1 software.

Otherwise the Internet Business Box automatically updates this page by calculating a fair price for your web-site based on your traffic and revenue.

Website Statistics

This is access restricted to the owner of the blog (the first person to subscribe using the form at the bottom of each page).

It is just a handy way to see some common statistics like how many visitors you received in the prior 24 hours, the number of clicks, subscribes and how much money you earn on an average day with your Internet Business Box powered website.

Your readers can't access this post. Only you can or someone who knows and enters your secret email address into the subscribe form.

Solo Ad Mailing

This is a new service added with version 3.1. Those paying $100 are allowed to send a message to your subscriber list. They are guaranteed 250 visitors. The Internet Business Box software automatically sets up the mailing and adds a bonus blog entry. The system will automatically mail multiple times until they receive their guaranteed 250 visitors.

Solo Ad Copy

This is an access restricted post. Only those who have paid for a Solo Ad Mailing can access this post. This post is where they enter their solo ad copy and select an initial date for their mailing. All of the details are described to them so the entire process is completely automated.

Ad Swap Request

This is very similar to the Solo Ad Mailing, but is for other list owners who would like to swap ads with your list. They are agreeing to mail your offer to their list in exchange for you mailing their offer to your list.

Don't worry. There is nothing to be confused about. In fact, you don't have to do anything at all in this process. The Internet Business Box has automated everything.

The other list owner will select a date and enter their ad copy using this form. They will then automatically be redirected to another post that contains your ad copy for their list.

Don't worry. You don't have to write any ad copy for their list. We have already written it for you. It is the next post.

Our Ad Swap Copy

This is the post that automatically provides your ad copy to list owners who are setting up an ad swap with you. It contains a tracking ID so that the system can automatically ban any ad swappers who don't do their part.

Ad swaps are a great way to build your list quickly and make extra Platinum Membership sales. Your ad copy promotes your Platinum Membership program.

Privacy Policy

Every split test we have performed between having a privacy policy and not having a privacy policy has come out in favor of having a privacy policy.

Some jurisdictions even require a privacy policy. Don't worry. We have already provided you with one that was provided by the government of the United Kingdom which is considered one of the strictest governments when it comes to matters of privacy. We aren't lawyers, but this privacy policy will probably work for most uses. If not, at least you know it has been tested and it's presence is improving your sales by making people more comfortable with giving their information on your web-site.

Affiliates

This is an information page for those who wish to join your affiliate program. It gives them their affiliate ID and gives them example URLs using that affiliate ID. It also allows them to change their PayPal email address and get the updated affiliate ID.

Affiliates are important for growing your business.

Those are the twelve default posts and their purpose. It is recommended that you leave these posts. If any of them harm your profitability, the multivariate engine will automatically remove references to these posts for you after testing them.

If you absolutely don't want one or more posts, here is how to get rid of them (or modify them).

If you want to eliminate them, the time to do it is right after installation and before claiming ownership of your blog or posting to it.

Go to the ibb folder and you will see a number of files that start with article- and end with .txt. The name in between the article- and the .text will be the title of the post with the spaces removed.

Just delete the files for the posts you don't want.

Then go to the dat folder and delete everything in that folder (remember you haven't made any posts yet and you haven't even claimed your blog by entering your secret email address in the subscribe form).

Now you can open your site in your browser and it will say it is setting up your site and ask you to refresh the page. Refresh the page and you will see that the posts for the article- files that you deleted are not in the list of blog posts in the right hand column.

If you want to change these default posts, you can do that at any time. Just don't change the title of the post. Change only the content after the 2nd line. The first line is the title. The 2nd line is either the author name, is blank and should remain blank or is the access control or order code.

The content of the post after the 2nd line can be changed in any way you wish. Go for it. You can do this at any time. When you are finished, just upload over the top of the article-*.txt file that you edited. That's it. You are done.

Your changes won't show up on the blog immediately. Everything is updated in small batches when visitors come to your site. Two different batches have to run in order to update those posts. It will eventually get to those batches, but it may take days.

To manually run those batches, enter the following on the URL bar of your browser:

http://yoursite.com/ibb/ibb-bat-adddefaultarticles-1.php

Replace the yoursite.com with your own domain. Hit refresh a couple of times in your browser to make sure the page wasn't cached and that it actually did run the batch. The page displayed will be completely blank or may show some cryptic codes or a list of files.

Then type the following on the URL bar of your browser:

http://yoursite.com/ibb/ibb-bat-makeblogposts-1.php

Same thing. Hit refresh a couple of times to make sure that batch really runs and your browser isn't just showing you a cached page. This page will probably show you a list of article files processed. It may be blank though depending on the version of the Internet Business Box software you have installed.

That's it. Now go to your site and hit refresh to get a fresh reload of your site. The default articles that you changed will now be reflected in the actual posts on your site.

Remember that this is advanced play and is NOT required nor even recommended. This information is given for those who like to tinker and don't mind breaking things from time to time.

This is a distraction. Successful online business owners know the value of focusing on what is important. This is NOT important. What is important is posting quality blog entries on your blog on a frequent basis (2.4 times per day if possible). That will make you money. Tinkering with the default posts will NOT earn you more money and is very likely to cause you to earn LESS money.

We don't recommend anything in this chapter. It is provided for informational purposes for hackers and those who love to take things apart to see how they work... not for you. You want to avoid distractions and focus on what makes more money.
