Minimum Site Price Lowered
Internet Business Box
The automated site pricing module used to price sites with the following minimums in mind:
1. $500.
2. A price calculated using the daily traffic the site is receiving.
3. A price calculated using the daily revune the site is generating.
4. The minimum entered on the installation form when installing.
We received some feedback from site flippers (people who buy and sell domains) who wanted to install the Internet Business Box on sites they were flipping. In many cases, the $500 minimum was getting in their way. They wanted to flip sites that were purchased for as little as $20 and sold for as little as $100.
Since you can choose whatever minimum you want when you install the Internet Business Box, there really isn't any need for the built in $500 limit, so we lowered it to $100 in the latest beta.
Unless there is feedback about why it really needs to be some other number, we plan to leave it that way for the version 3.2 release and beyond.
We can't imagine how it could hurt any other business models since you still have the ability to set any minimum price you want when you install the Internet Business Box software.
We also received feedback that the affiliate program should include the site sales (it is the only product that we currently don't include in the 50% commission affiliate program). We are looking at that for the next beta release and would like your feedback on that topic as well. Would you like to see the affiliate program applied to sale of the site itself?
If so, would you like to see a default post that lists everyone's site for sale along with affiliate links?
The Internet Business Box network could grow into a part-time site flipping network in that case. It isn't what we had in mind, but site flipping is currently a very lucrative and profitable business model and we do embrace the concept of allowing all business models to compete for prominence on every single web-site.
Why not allow the entire Internet Business Box network to double as a site flipping network? It would be to the advantage of everyone using the Internet Business Box.
Leave your feedback as a comment to this post. Thanks!
